TONE Factory hardwire set-up guide.

Setting up your TONE turntable with RCA cables is simple and straightforward. Follow these 4 steps to get started.

Step 1: Connect the RCA cable to the amplifier or speakers.

Unlike traditional turntables, the TONE Factory turntable has a built-in phono preamplifier, so it doesn’t require extra amplification from an external phono preamp or phono input on your amplifier. Plug the included RCA cable with the ends marked by the yellow indicators into a suitable line-input on your amplifier or active speakers. Make sure you don’t mix up the left and right channels. White is left and red is right!

IMPORTANT:

Do not connect this turntable to a phono input. Plugging a line-level turntable into an amplified phono input or external phono preamplifer will cause the sound to be distorted and could potentially damage your speakers. Distortion occurs when the signal is amplified too much, causing it to exceed the maximum output level and resulting in a harsh, unpleasant sound.

Step 2: Ground cable (not necessary)

Since your TONE Factory table is internally grounded for it's line-level signal it is not necessary to connect the ground cable to your turntable or to your amplifier. Our upgraded RCA cable is used in other turntable made in the same factory as TONE that do use a ground - not us though.

Step 3: Connect the RCA cable to the turntable.

Connect the RCA cable to the RCA outputs on your TONE turntable. Again - make sure you don’t mix up the left and right channels. White is left and red is right!

Step 4: Select the input on your amplifier or speakers.

Select the corresponding input on your amplifier that you connected your TONE turntable to.
